Important message from the Royal Society of Arts
For over 260 years the RSA (Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce) has been relentless in its pursuit of social progress. Our mission, 21st century enlightenment, pays tribute to our founders and the pioneering spirit which inspired them. Economic History Society members can take advantage of a fast-track application and a reduced joining fee to join the RSA Fellowship, a global network of like-minded people united by a shared set of values. Previous RSA Fellows include Karl Marx and Adam Smith, who was a member when he published The Wealth of Nations. Fellows of the RSA have access to the brightest new ideas, innovative projects, a diverse network of like-minded people, and a platform for social change.
